March at Cornerstone was nothing short of incredible. It was a month brimming with inspiration, encouragement, and reminders that even in this challenging life, we are never alone. Let’s walk through some of the unforgettable moments that made this March so special!

March 8: A Day of Blessings and Communion

On March 8, we gathered for a powerful reminder of Jesus’s sacrifice, and it was a day of deep reflection and connection. Communion is always a blessing, but it took on an even deeper meaning as we took the time to reconnect with our Heavenly Father, knowing that whatever sins we've committed are forgiven through His grace.

But the highlight of the day wasn’t just the bread and wine—it was the act of washing each other's feet. This beautiful, humble gesture allowed us to connect with one another and share stories about the challenges and joys of the past week. What a beautiful symbol of service and humility!

As we came together to take the bread and wine, you could feel the peace that settled over the congregation. It was a moment of pure worship, a time when we experienced God’s love anew. Afterward, the testimonies that followed were nothing short of inspiring. Hearing how God had carried members through their most difficult moments was a reminder of His unshakable power. To close, we sang our communion anthem, Worthy Is the Lamb. There was such joy in the air—God’s power was alive in the hearts of everyone present.

Global Youth Day: “A Community Transformed”

The following Sabbath was another day to remember: Global Youth Day! This special day brings together youth from all over the world to share the gospel and make a difference in their communities. This year’s theme, “A Community Transformed”, was alive and well at Cornerstone.

Our youth took to the streets to serve a neighborhood near a local shelter just a few blocks away from our church. We were blessed to team up with the youth from East New York SDA Church, creating an atmosphere of unity and love. We sang songs, handed out tracks, books, clothes, snacks, and drinks to those in need. The joy on the faces of those we served was a powerful reminder of how even the smallest acts of kindness can reflect God’s love.

Mark 16:15 reminds us to "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." While our efforts may not reach the whole world, we trust that the seeds we planted will have a lasting impact on the lives we touched. God’s work is truly transforming communities!

March 22: A Powerful Word from Dr. Nicardo Delahaye

The Sabbath of March 22 was another soul-stirring experience. We were honored to hear a message from the Executive Secretary of the Northeastern Conference, Pastor Dr. Nicardo Delahaye. His sermon, “How Does It Feel to Be a Problem?”, was a profound reflection on the woman with the issue of blood—a powerful example of faith and persistence.

Dr. Delahaye spoke about the woman’s years of struggle, but also her unwavering determination to reach Jesus, despite the obstacles she faced. His message challenged us: What barriers are you letting stand between you and an encounter with Jesus? When we have that encounter, we, too, will have a testimony to share of God's never-ending goodness.

“The Real Church Women of Cornerstone”

Later that Sabbath, our AY program gave us an unforgettable, heartwarming moment. In honor of Women's History Month, we celebrated “The Real Church Women of Cornerstone”. Ten courageous women from our congregation shared their deeply personal

testimonies about struggles with health, loss, and faith. Their stories were raw, real, and inspiring. Their bravery was nothing short of awe-inspiring, and their testimonies brought tears to many eyes.

Afterward, the men in the congregation distributed gifts to the women—an act of appreciation that was truly moving. It was a beautiful reminder: Never judge anyone, because you never know the battles they’re fighting.

Pastor Dr. Ainsworth Keith Morris: “Straighten Up and Praise”

In continuing our celebration of Women’s History Month, we were blessed to hear a powerful message from Pastor Dr. Ainsworth Keith Morris, Special Assistant to the President of the Northeastern Conference. He shared the story of the woman who had been crippled for 18 years and was healed by Jesus. Her faith and perseverance in the face of adversity were incredible.

Pastor Morris reminded us that life's challenges don't have to diminish our confidence in God. Instead, we should let those struggles encourage us to trust God's purpose for our lives. “Straighten up and praise”—no matter the circumstances, God is always worthy of our worship!

March: A Month of Lessons We’ll Never Forget

March was a month of unforgettable lessons and blessings. The woman with the issue of blood teaches us to press through obstacles to encounter Jesus. The crippled woman reminds us to praise God in both the highs and lows of life. Ruth shows us the importance of trusting God’s plan, and Queen Esther inspires us to be courageous, even in fear. Hannah reminds us to bring our burdens to God, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, shows us the power of being open to God’s will.

As we look back on all we experience this March, let’s take these lessons with us: Don’t let anything hinder your encounter with Jesus. Trust in His purpose for your life, and praise Him through every season. There is power in these principles, and with God’s help, we can transform our communities, our hearts, and our world.
